Hello RML Managers!

A few Thursday afternoon musings on the things that amuse, bemuse and confuse a man in the wonderful world of RML.....Its nice to see Jesus Christ - I mean, Ric Money - back as an owner after his ressurection of the Texas Rangers a few years ago. I gotta give current GM Tom O'Neill a lot of credit for making that team better, but Ric Money brought the Rangers back from the dead. I have no doubts he'll do the same in Kansas City......After trading Piazza away, it looks like the Mets are throwing in the towel this year. The NL East is Montreal's to lose, but the surprising Cubbies are still hanging in there.....Ricci Stevens seriously upped the ante in the NL West when he picked up Tony Batista from the Blue Jays. He gave up a good reliever in Rivera and a top, if disapointing, prospect in Parkerson, but it may just pay off.......Cincinati GM Larry Bailey has taken a cautious approach to building his team, but he needs to make a move. I don't see them winning with that rotation......Don't forget about the Braves however. They may be eight games out, but GM Joe Bourgeois has never been shy of pulling the trigger in the past on the right deal. His deadline deal for Pedro Martinez back in 2002 was huge in winning the World Series......Texas keeps rolling along atop the AL West and one can't help but think this is going down to the last day. I almost can't believe it, but Seattle could conceivably lose the division. If that is going to happen though, Texas needs to pick up another outfielder. They have a great pen and arguably the best pitcher in baseball with Hideki White, but their offence just doesn't conmpare with the M's.......Amid all the Bryant Burton hype in Boston, which is justified, the performance of Kyle Peterson has been overlooked. If it were any other year or any other team, he'd be getting a lot more attention........HEROES: HIDEKI WHITE, Texas- 17-0, 1.78 era. Need I say more?.......ZEROES: SHAWN GREEN, San Francisco- .239, 10hr, 24rbi. The Giants have to be disapointed after signing him to that long free-agent contract
